Having spent slightly more than the last thirty years in the music business as a successful saxophonist, starting out in very tiny clubs, and ending up on some of the world's biggest stages, I have encountered most of the ups and downs than can come to a musician.

It is the right time for me now to offer the benefit of that experience and the many contacts I have made to new performers and writers, and try to help them avoid as many of the "downs" as possible.

So many people dream of being great writers or performers, and with the advent of TV shows like The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent, it looks like a simple process available to all. The reality of building a successful long lasting career in music is different. It requires talent, absolute determination, and passion, without which, it is extremely unlikely to achieve meaningful success.

For me, music is a very vital thing, which needs to be encouraged to grow and develop. It is not enough for me to live on a diet of reworked old songs.

I am very fortunate to be managing a very creative new musician:

Passion and originality are the two factors which make me excited about music, and that is what I will need to see in people I will want to manage.
